So I came across this on my tumblr and OH MAH GOD! If you guys need a "doll" to use for reference and drawing poses, there a program you can download for free.

I just downloaded it, and it's fantastic, and it's real easy to use. Simply double click the body part and drag with your mouse. (press down on the scroll button, on mouse for moving 2-D, and Alt+left mouse button for moving in 3-D)

You can even customize the face, and body.

If you don't have a mannequin, don't like using a mannequin, or simply can't find a good reference pic, then this will definitely help.

And there is now the Design Doll Version 5.6.0, and there are two versions. One that is free (which I still use to this day), but you will not be able to save the poses or models you manipulate for future reference.


So what I end up doing is once I get a pose I like use the feature in the program, under-File- Export flat image, and it will take a screen shot of the current pose you have as a jpg. I personally take multiple shots from multiple angles, like a photo shoot, and save them for future reference.
